Wilken Hugo started HCW Hugo Brokers in Aug 1998. He worked as a broker in both long-term insurance and short-term insurance.

Wilken and Paul Byrom met about 25 years ago while Paul was working at Aon International Corporate Brokers.

The two of them then decided to go into a partnership, which was started in Aug 2018.  Wilken then became head of the long-term division and Paul took over the short-term division as head.  The company has grown from strength to strength.  Combined, our team has a total of 134 years knowledge and experience years!

Wilken started his career in the insurance industry in 1983 and worked as a financial adviser and production manager.  He then moved on to become a broker and opened his brokerage HCW Hugo Brokers in August 1998.  He has a total of 43 years’ experience in the insurance industry.  Wilken takes care of the Long-Term Insurance division of the brokerage.

Paul Byrom –
Partner, Representative and Head of Short-Term Division

Paul started his short-term industrial career in 1990.  He spent 27 years in the corporate industry, and he is a specialist in his field (which includes a whole range of short-term cover), with a total of 36 years of experience.  Paul takes care of the Short-Term insurance division.
